- Report genuine civic infrastructure issues
- Provide accurate location and description
- Include clear, relevant photos
- Update status when issues are resolved
- Be specific and factual
- Submit false or misleading reports
- Spam duplicate issues
- Post irrelevant or promotional content
- Exaggerate or dramatize problems
- Use the platform for personal disputes
What to Report
- Road damage (potholes, cracks, broken pavements)
- Streetlight failures and electrical issues
- Water supply and drainage problems
- Waste management issues
- Public facility maintenance needs
- Safety hazards in public spaces
We Do Not Tolerate
- Harassment: Bullying, threats, or intimidation of any user
- Hate Speech: Content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or caste
- Abuse: Personal attacks, insults, or derogatory language
- Doxxing: Sharing private information about others without consent
- Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else or a government official

Disagree Respectfully: It's okay to disagree, but always do so respectfully and constructively. Focus on issues, not personal attacks.
Constructive Communication
- Use respectful language in all interactions
- Stay on topic and relevant to civic issues
- Provide helpful suggestions and solutions
- Thank others for their contributions
- Assume good intent from fellow community members
Authentic Engagement
- Use your real name or a consistent identity
- Don't create multiple accounts to manipulate voting
- Don't coordinate fake upvotes or artificial engagement
- Report only issues you've personally witnessed
- Don't post misleading or doctored images
Conflicts of Interest
If you have a professional or financial interest related to an issue you're reporting (e.g., you're a contractor, government employee, or business owner), disclose this in your report.

Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning
- Content Removal: Violating content may be removed
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations result in temporary account suspension
- Permanent Ban: Serious or repeated violations lead to permanent account termination
- Legal Action: Illegal activity may be reported to authorities
Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or content was removed in error, you can appeal by contacting info.civicissue@gmail.com with the subject "Community Guidelines Appeal."
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the "Report" button on the issue or comment
- Select the most appropriate violation category
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Include screenshots if helpful
- Our moderation team will review within 24-48 hours
